Description: Anti-Human IL-6 IgG is  developed in rabbit and purified by affinity chromatography on protein G (> 98% purity).

Immunogen: Highly pure (>97%) recombinant human IL-6 expressed in plants.


  • ELISA: Suggested starting dilution 1/500.  This antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents (anti-rabbit IgG-AP conjugate), allows the detection of  <10 ng/well of rhuman IL-6 (RF0032).
  • Western Blot: Suggested starting dilution 1/1,000. Anti-rabbit IgG-AP (alkaline phosphatase conjugate) is recommended as secondary reagent.

Human IL-6 protein was resolved by SDS-PAGE, transferred to a NC membrane and probed with a dilution 1:1,000 of Anti-Human IL-6 IgG. Anti-rabbit IgG-AP (alkaline phosphatase conjugate) was used as secondary reagent. Lane 1: MWM; Lane 2: 0.25 ug f non glycosylated rHuman IL-6 protein produced in a prokaryotic expression system. Lane 3: 0.25 ug of glycosylated isoforms of rH IL-6 produced in an eukaryotic expression system.

Where this antibody has not been tested for use in a particular technique this not necessarily excludes its use in such procedures.

Optimal dilution conditions should be determined by the final user.
